AICPA Fellowship for Minority Doctoral Students

The AICPA Fellowship for Minority Doctoral Students ensures that CPAs of diverse backgrounds are visible in college and university classrooms. The program's goal is to increase the number of minority CPAs who serve as role models and mentors to young people in the academic environment and university classrooms. The AICPA Foundation awards annual fellowships of $12,000 to full-time minority accounting scholars who demonstrate significant potential to become accounting educators.

Program Eligibility Requirements
Eligible applicants must meet the following requirements:

    a) Applied to a doctoral program and awaiting word on acceptance; b) been accepted into a doctoral program; or c) already matriculated in a doctoral program and pursuing appropriate coursework
    Earned a Master’s Degree and/or completed at least 3 years of full-time experience in the accounting practice
    Minority student of Black or African American; Hispanic or Latino; or Native American ethnicity
    Attend school on a full-time basis and plan to remain enrolled full-time until attaining doctoral degree
    Agree not to work full-time in a paid position or accept responsibility for teaching more than one course per semester as a teaching assistant, or dedicate more than one quarter of my time as a research assistant

Depending on the type of additional program funding you are receiving, you may or may not be eligible. If you are receiving a stipend from the university you are enrolled in, you are eligible for the AICPA Minority Doctoral Fellowship. If you have received a stipend from the Accounting Doctoral Scholarship (ADS) Program, you may not be eligible for the AICPA Minority Doctoral Fellowship award.

UNESCO/ISEDC Co-Sponsored Fellowships Programme



The aim of this fellowships programme is to enhance the capacity-building and human resources development in the area of sustainable and renewable energy sources in developing countries and countries in transition. The training activities in the framework of these fellowships are tenable in specialized institutions in the Russian Federation. The medium of instruction will be English. UNESCO will solicit applications from the developing countries and countries in transition.

In line with the strategy and objectives of the approved UNESCO Programme and Budget for the Fellowships Programme Section, the UNESCO Category II International Center for Sustainable Energy Development (ISEDC) in Moscow (Russian Federation) is offering twenty (20) fellowships of four weeks (4)  duration each in 2017.

Field of Study
One month duration: from 2 to 27 October 2017.

The candidates may choose to study in the following fields of study, which are aligned with UNESCO’s objectives and programme priorities, as per approved 35 C/5 and in accordance with the decisions made by the Executive Board (161 EX/Decision 3.6.3 and 165 EX/Decision 8.6) :

Qualifications Required

Procedures on Submission of applications
(a) All applications should be endorsed by the National Commission for UNESCO and must be duly completed in English or French with the following attachments in DUPLICATE:

    • Certificate of English Language proficiency;
    • Subsequently, for those who have been selected, the UNESCO medical examination form duly completed by a recognized physician (not more than four months before the actual date of studies). The prescribed form of which will be sent along with the letter of award. Expenses incurred in the constitution of the medical dossiers will not be reimbursed.

(b) Files which are incomplete or received after the deadline for the submission of applications and candidatures, and do not fulfil the requirements mentioned above, will not be considered.
(c) Each invited Member State is requested to nominate not more than two (2) candidates.

UNESCO/People's Republic of China Co-Sponsored Fellowships Programme

UNESCO/People's Republic of China (The Great Wall) Co-Sponsored Fellowships Programme 2017-2018

The Government of the People's Republic of China has placed at the disposal of UNESCO for the academic year 2017-2018 seventy-five (75) fellowships for advanced studies at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. These fellowships are for the benefit of developing Member States in Africa, Asia–Pacific, Latin America, Europe and North America and Arab region.

Tenable at a number of Chinese universities, these fellowships are offered to senior advanced students intending to to pursue higher education or undertake individual research with periodic guidance from assigned supervisors for a duration of one academic year (from September 2017 to July 2018). In most cases, fellows will participate in the programmes conducted in English while in exceptional cases, some candidates may be required to study Chinese language before taking up research or study in their field of interest.

Twenty (20) of the 75 fellowships are especially intended for candidatures of teacher educators and trainers from the 10 African countries under UNESCO-China Funds-in-Trust Project (CFIT) to pursue an Advanced Training Programme for Education Administrators and Teacher Educators at East China Normal University.

Eligibility

(i) Applicants applying for general scholar programs must be under the age of forty-five (45) and have completed at least two years of undergraduate study; and those who applying for senior scholar programmes must be a master’s degree holder or an associate professor (or above) and under the age of fifty (50).

(ii) English proficiency is required.

(iii) Be in good health, both mentally and physically.

Step 1:

Step 2:

Step 3:
Prepare your application documents (in English or Chinese) properly according to the requirements prescribed in ANNEX II.
Applicants are encouraged to contact in advance with their target Chinese universities. For the applicants who have received the pre-admission letters from designated Chinese universities by the time of submission, please attach your pre-admission letters in the supporting documents.

Step 4:
Register in CSC Chinese Scholarship Information System for International Students at www.campuschina.org/noticeen.html (Programme Category Type A, Agency number 00001) and submit your online application by following the guidance in Instructions of the Chinese Government Scholarship Information System for International Students.

Step 5
Print out your online application form and send it to the National Commission for UNESCO of your country, attached with the hard copies of all the required documents (in duplicate).

New Zealand Scholarships



The New Zealand Aid Programme offers several different types of scholarship. Most are for full-time tertiary study in New Zealand. There are also two other scholarship schemes: one is for full-time tertiary study in a Pacific Island Country university, one is for short-term professional development or vocational training.

Scholarship Types Overview
There are four types of scholarships for full-time tertiary level study in New Zealand:

    New Zealand Pacific Scholarships

    New Zealand Commonwealth Scholarships

Two other scholarship types are also available:

    Scholarships for full-time tertiary level study at a Pacific Island Country university (under the New Zealand Regional Development Scholarships) are available to citizens of selected countries in the Pacific.

Financial benefits

Loomer-Mortenson Scholarships

The ACA International Education Foundation (ACAEF) is continuing to focus on increasing educational opportunities through its Loomer-Mortenson Scholarship Program, and applications for 2017 are now available.
“The Loomer-Mortenson Scholarship Program, because of members’ continued support of the ACAEF, presents a significant opportunity for industry professionals and their children to further their education,” said Jim Richards, chair of the ACAEF Board.
This year, the ACAEF will select 15 scholarship recipients. The first-place prize is $10,000, twice the size of last year’s prize, and total of $30,000 will be awarded. One second-place recipient will be awarded $5,000; one third-place recipient will be awarded $3,000 and 12 fourth-place recipients will receive $1,000 each.
ACA International encourages members, company and state unit leaders to share the Loomer-Mortenson Scholarship opportunity with their entire staff and colleagues in the industry through their website, newsletters or internal email updates.
Scholarship applicants must be a current employee—or child of an employee—at a company affiliated with the credit and collection industry. Winners will be selected based on their cumulative grade point average and a two- to three-page essay on the value of consumer credit to our nation’s economy. Scholarship recipients must enroll in at least 12 credit hours at an accredited college, university, vocational-technical college or community college within 12 months of winning the award.
The scholarship program was created in the memory of ACA member Robert E. Loomer and ACA staff member Irvin “Dempsey” Mortenson.
Winners of the Loomer-Mortenson Scholarships will be announced at the ACA International 2017 Convention & Expo, held July 16-18 in Seattle.

Design scholarships available through IFDA

The International Furnishings and Design Association’s Educational Foundation is giving away a total of $12,500 in scholarships to seven selected recipients attending higher education institutions.

Students whose collegiate focus includes interior design, furniture design or marketing can apply between March 1 and 31. More information is available at ifdaef.org and winners will be notified by July 31.

EF funding, as described below, is the design industry's largest scholarship resource for students focused on design-industry careers.

"By providing these awards, we are giving serious, talented students the opportunity to fine-tune their organizational skills and have their work seen and evaluated by industry professionals,” said Linda Mariani, the foundation’s director of scholarships and grants.

The seven scholarships and amounts are:

The foundation has recognized that education in the furnishings and design industry is central to developing and enhancing the careers of designers and students destined to be on the leading edge of innovation and creativity,” said Linda Hunt, Educational Foundation chair.
  • IFDA Leaders Commemorative Scholarship is open to full-time students who are currently enrolled in an interior design or related program, are engaged in some volunteer or community service project and have held leadership posts during the past five years: $1,500.
  • Part-Time Student Scholarship will be awarded to a degree-seeking undergraduate currently enrolled part time in a continuing interior design or related program at an accredited institution: $1,500.
  • IFDA Student Member Scholarship is open to any full-time under-graduate who has completed at least four design courses in a post - secondary interior design or related program and is also a student member of one of IFDA's regional chapters: $2,000.
  • The Vercille Voss IFDA Graduate Student Scholarship will be presented to a full- or part-time graduate student who is currently enrolled at an accredited institution, has completed four design courses in post-secondary education and is pursuing a major in interior design or a related field: $2,000.
  • The Ruth Clark Furniture Design Scholarship is available to any currently enrolled full- or part-time undergraduate or graduate design major specializing in residential wood and/or upholstered furniture design. $3,000.
  • Tricia LeVangie Green/Sustainable Design Scholarship is open to currently enrolled full- or part-time undergraduate students who have completed four design courses in post-secondary education and are majoring in interior design or a related field, with plans to become educated participants in the green movement. $1,500.
  • Window Fashion Certified Professionals Fast Track Scholarship, to be awarded to a student seeking workroom or design certification, is open to anyone enrolled in an interior design (or related) program at a two- or three-year institution: one full $1,000 registration.

University of the Virgin Islands scholarships

University of the Virgin Islands scholarships are available for incoming local high school students and currently enrolled University students. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of demonstrated scholastic ability. The minimum required grade point average is a "B."    

Scholarship announcements are generally made during the month of February for the upcoming academic year, at which time scholarship applications will be available in the Office of Institutional Advancement, Financial Aid Offices, UVI Libraries, local high schools and on this web page.

Lisbon Executive MBA Program Scholarships

The Lisbon MBA has a fund to award scholarships to help students finance their Executive MBA Program. Besides some scholarship’s specific requirements, we will take into consideration the applicants’ academic and professional merit, the ability to contribute to the program, and, also, the feasibility of their career goals after the MBA.

Merit Scholarship:

International School Manila scholarship

The International School Manila, located at Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City, was founded in 1920.  The paramount aim of the school is to provide the highest possible standards of education to prepare children for entrance into colleges or universities throughout the world, and to develop the best intellectual qualities of each individual student.  The school is organized into three divisions – a four grade Elementary School, a four grade Middle School, and a four year High School.  At present, the student body represents over seventy nations including the Philippines.

For the school year 2016-2017, International School Manila will make available scholarships to students of Filipino citizenship who will be thirteen or fourteen years of age on or before September 01, 2016 and have completed the equivalent of IS Manila’s Grade 7.  The awardees shall enroll in Grade 8 and continue until they finish Grade 12.

NATURE OF SCHOLARSHIP
    1. The scholarships are available to students entering Grade 8 in the International School Manila.
    2. The need-based scholarships will include fees such as tuition fee, matriculation fee, and book rental. A participation fee may be required from the parents to cover a portion of the school fees.
    3. The scholarships may be enjoyed for five years provided the awardees maintain the appropriate scholastic level and abide by the school rules and regulations set by the Philippine Scholarship Committee.

WHO MAY QUALIFY FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP?
    1. The awards are open to students of Filipino citizenship who have completed their 7th grade (Grades 1-6 plus first year high school or Grades 1-7) of school and who will be thirteen or fourteen years of age by September 01, 2016.
    2. The candidate must have demonstrated high academic achievement (no grade lower than 85% or its equivalent in any subject). Candidates must submit a copy of their report cards, school records/transcript from Grade 1 to current grade level with completed application forms.
    3. The candidate must demonstrate financial need. (Please see Financial Requirement Letter.)
    4. The candidate must meet all regular ISM entrance requirements.
    5. The candidate must have an excellent command of oral and written English.
    6. The candidate must possess high personal standards and be in good health.
    7. Only one sibling per family shall be considered for the scholarship program.

*Please note that school year 2016-17 at International School Manila begins in August 2016.

Enclosed is a copy of the 2016-2017 scholarship announcement, a profile of some previous Filipino scholars, and an application packet. Completed forms must be submitted to International School Manila, Middle School Guidance Office, no later than 4:00 PM February 5, 2016.

The Baer Reintegration Scholarship

The Baer Reintegration Scholarship Application for the 2016-2017 academic year is now available to student applicants.

ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for consideration for the Baer Reintegration Scholarship, applicants must:
Be diagnosed with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder
Be currently receiving medical treatment for the disease, including medications and psychiatric follow up, or have treating physician’s documentation of past history noted on Recommendation Form
Be actively involved in rehabilitative or reintegration efforts, such as clubhouse membership, part or full-time employment, volunteer efforts or school enrollment
Be a U.S. citizen and plan to attend a school in the United States
Be age 18 years or older

EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
The Baer Reintegration Scholarship program is designed to offer financial assistance for a wide range of educational opportunities in which students work to attain a certificate or degree from an accredited institution.
Eligible programs include:
High school equivalency programs
Trade or vocational school, or certificate programs
Associate’s degree
Bachelor’s degree
Graduate degree
*Please note that noncredit, online, home study and distance learning courses are not covered under the scholarship. Also, the scholarship is only available to U.S. citizens who plan to attend classes within the United States.

Business School International full MBA Scholarship

University of Hull, UK : Four full tuition fee scholarships are available to students who have Overseas Fee Status.
These scholarships will be awarded on the basis of professional and academic excellence.
The scholarship covers the  full cost of the MBA tuition fees, for the normal duration of the
programme (oneyear). This scholarship is valid only for the academic year commencing
September 2016. Please note that this scholarship does not cover the cost of living or travel.

Unitil Scholarship Fund

It’s that time of year again that our STEM Scholarship applications are available!

We are happy to announce that we are again offering additional scholarships for high school students.  Six high school seniors from our service territories in New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts who are pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering, or math will each receive $5,000 for the first year of undergraduate study.

Unitil Scholarship Fund application packets for the 2016-2017 academic year are available below or in the guidance department of select high schools throughout our service territories. The deadline to submit your completed application is on or before March 15th and recipients will be notified of selection by mail no later than April 30th.

ASP scholarships

ASP scholarships from the Federal and Local State Government

International students wishing to obtain the M.Sc. Photonics degree at the Abbe School of Photonics can apply for one of our full-scale scholarships. These scholarships are based on criteria of academic excellence and are granted either for 12 months or for 24 months, thus covering the entire two-year Master's degree program time period. Either scholarship comprises a stipend of 800 Euro per month and additional German language courses. Approximately 10 scholarships are available per year. German students are not eligible for this scholarship scheme. To apply for one of these scholarships, just mark your interest within your personal application at our online application system. In addition to the regular personal data, you must provide two letters of recommendation.

German scholarships (Deutschlandstipendien)

All students who are either
  • already in Jena, are enrolled at the Master's degree program in Photonics and have received their first university transcript, or
  • are admitted for studies within the Master's degree program in Photonics for the upcoming academic year
may also apply for a German scholarship (Deutschlandstipendium). Thus, you may apply for this kind of scholarship at an early stage of your photonics studies, even from abroad. Awardees with prospects of excellent study results will receive financial support of 300 € per month for a duration of at least one year. Scholarships for students from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Armenia and Azerbaijan

The European-Russian Academic Network Plus (Eranet Plus) is built upon the solid foundation of the Eranet-Mundus project. The objectives of the project are to create lasting associations between Russian higher education institutions and the European higher education institutions and to establish strong ties and mobility flows.

Italia Conti The Stage Scholarships 2016

Italia Conti’s dedication to The Stage Scholarships scheme has been demonstrated by how many talented individuals the academy has helped in recent years. While the school has initially committed to giving one full or several part-time awards (worth up to £75,000), the audition panel has often topped that offer and generously given both.

Education level: Secondary school, entering years 7–10 in autumn 2016

How to apply: Applicants can visit the website and download an application form or telephone 0207 608 0044. The deadline for applications is March 18. Our application form requires a passport-sized and full-length photograph together with a copy of the latest school report.

Audition requirements: One poem or acting piece, one piece of dance in any style and one song or a combined song and dance piece – all music for the individual pieces must be on a CD or iPod. The candidates will also take part in group dance classes. There will also be an academic test in English and Maths.

U.K. Border Agency Rule: All successful applicants will be required to provide their

Zhejiang Sister Province Scholarships (ZSPS)

Zhejiang Sister Province Scholarships (ZSPS) offer opportunities for New Zealand students to study in Zhejiang, China. In May 2016, five students will be offered one-year scholarships.

Value of the Award
- The scholarship covers the following for ONE YEAR guaranteed:
- institutional registration & tuition fees
- required learning materials
- accommodation
- insurance
The scholarship is guaranteed for the first year of study.   The availability of the scholarship for additional out-years is subject to evaluation of the student’s academic performance.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Applicants must be New Zealand citizens and in good health
2. Applicants must not be recipients of any other type of Chinese government scholarship
3. Applicants must have a clear vision of what they wish to study in Zhejiang and preferably can show evidence they have been in contact with relevant universities.

NB: For programmes delivered in Chinese, Chinese language proficiency will be required.

Programme Type
The scholarship will support short-term training (e.g. one year Mandarin language study) and degree level study.
    Undergraduate programmes are generally 4 years
    Master’s degree programmes are generally 2-3 years
    Doctoral degree programmes are generally 3 years.

The Prime Minister's Scholarships for Asia (PMSA) 2016

The Prime Minister's Scholarships for Asia (PMSA) is a scholarship programme funded by the New Zealand government and administered by Education New Zealand. Established in June 2013, the scholarship is awarded to individuals and covers costs relating to study or research in Asia.

The scholarship’s goals are to:
    strengthen New Zealand’s ability to engage with key Asian trading partners
    improve the international skills of the New Zealand workforce
    improve the internationalisation of New Zealand tertiary institutions
    increase international understanding of the strength and quality of New Zealand's education system
    establish connections between New Zealand and other countries through participants building lifelong friendships and networks
    strengthen New Zealanders' understanding of other cultures.

Countries: Approved destinations are ASEAN countries such as Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam, as well as China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, India and Sri Lanka.

Institutions: We want PMSA recipients to study at great institutions, so preference is for top 500 educational institutions or educational institutions with whom a New Zealand educational institution has a formal agreement or partnership.

Eligible Candidates All applicants must:
    Be at least 18 years old at the time of application.
    Be a New Zealand citizen or Permanent Residence holder of a minimum 2 years at the time of application.
    NOT hold citizenship in their destination country in Asia.
    Propose a programme that meets the requirements of the PMSA.

EWGA Foundation Scholarships

EWGA Foundation now accepting applications for the 2016 Women On Par Scholarship program

The EWGA (Executive Women's Golf Association) Foundation recognizes the importance of education regardless of age. The Women On Par® Scholarship program provides financial assistance to nontraditional female students -- women thirty years of age and older -- who want to begin or complete their undergraduate education to get "on par" with their peers and advance themselves both professionally and personally.

Since the program's inception in 2007, 14 women have received scholarships. Applications for 2016 are now being accepted until April 15, 2016, or until 200 applications are received, whichever occurs first. There will be two (2) scholarships awarded: One (1) $1,000 Women On Par® scholarship and one (1) $500 Women On Par® scholarship.

EWGA membership is not a requirement to apply or receive a scholarship. Applicants are required to be pursuing a technical/vocational degree, associates or bachelor's degree and currently be enrolled or accepted to enroll in an accredited school, college or university. The scholarships are awarded based on need and women who have previously earned degrees are not eligible.
