DAAD Scholarships offered for SLE-PLUS: Berlin Training for International Development Cooperation Application deadline: 3rd May 2009
This summer the SLE plus: Berlin Training for International Development Cooperation at Humboldt-Universitaet zu Berlin is offering three short term courses.
A framework programme provides participants with the opportunity to become familiar with scholarly discussions in the area of development cooperation, and to meet with representatives of German governmental and non-governmental organisations active in the field of development cooperation.

Target group
The Berlin Training is directed at young professionals from all fields working in development cooperation in governmental and non-governmental organisations. In exeptional cases we accept participants who are in the final stage of their studies.
Requirements
A university degree equivalent to an M.A./M.Sc. and a good command of English.
Fees: Euro 500,-
Costs for each 10-day-course are € 500.00. Scholarships - made available through funds provided by DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service)- will be available for qualified alumni of German universities from developing countries (DAC) and for alumni of universities in developing countries who received a German sur-place-scholarship.
Information for applicants for a DAAD-funded scholarship
The DAAD-fund scholarship encompasses a daily allowance and part of your travel costs.
You may apply for a scholarship for a maximum number of two courses. We encurage you to apply for a DAAD-funded scholarship for two consecutive courses Without proof of your status as a alumnus/alumna your application for a DAAD-funded scholarship will not be taken into consideration! applicants who are already recipients of a German scholarship during the SLE Plus: Berlin Training programme are not eligible for further funding.
