Students are eligible to be considered for a GMS scholarship if they:
• Are African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian and Pacific Islander American, or Hispanic American;
• Are a citizen/legal permanent resident or nationals of the United States;
• Have attained a cumulative GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (un-weighted);
• Will be enrolling for the first-time at a U.S. accredited* college or university as a full-time, degree-seeking, first-year student in the fall of 2010; or GED
• Have demonstrated leadership abilities through participation in community service, extracurricular or other activities;
• Meet the Federal Pell Grant* eligibility criteria; and
• Have all three forms (Nominee Personal Information Form completed by the student, Nominator Form completed by an educator familiar with the student’s academic record and a Recommender Form completed by a person familiar with the student’s leadership and community service) submitted by the deadline.
In order to be
eligible to be considered for the GMS scholarship, all three forms must be submitted by the deadline.

Kohl’s Kids Who Care® Scholarship Program
Eligibility: No purchase necessary. Nominees must be legal U.S. residents of a state in which there is a Kohl’s store located. Nominees must be between the ages of 6 and 18 and not yet a high school graduate as of March 15, 2009. Each nominee must be nominated by someone age 21 years or older. Parents may nominate their own children. Employees of Kohl’s Department Stores, Inc. (“Kohl’s”) and Scholarship Management Services or either company’s respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliates and such employees’ immediate family members (employees’ children) and members of the same household are ineligible for nomination. National Hydropower Association Past Presidents' Legacy Scholarships
National Hydropower Association is pleased to announce that it will be accepting applications for the 2010 NHA Past Presidents' Legacy Scholarship the first week of January 2010. Charley Wootan Grant Program
Award process
For the 2009-2010 academic year, TG will award $2 million to students through the Charley Wootan Grant Program. The program offers grants ranging from $1,000 to $4,245 to qualified undergraduate students. Charley Wootan Grants are awarded for one year only; however, recipients will be encouraged to reapply in subsequent years provided eligibility requirements are met.
Eligibility
The Charley Wootan Grant Program is open to students who:
* At the time of application, are U.S. citizens or permanent U.S. residents of the 50 United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands or any of the U.S. territories and commonwealths, and
* Are high school seniors or graduates (including GED recipients) who plan to enroll or are students who are already enrolled at least half-time in an undergraduate course of study for the fall 2009 term at an approved* two or fouryear college or university or vocational-technical school, and

Application packets are required to include:
* a complete and signed application, and
* if a currently enrolled undergraduate student, a copy of student’s most recent cumulative college transcript, or, if a student has not completed one full quarter or semester of postsecondary education, a copy of their college acceptance letter, and
* a copy of the 2009-2010 Student Aid Report (SAR) or Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR).

Sam Walton Community Scholarship
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
* Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Legal Resident of the United States.
* Cannot be a Walmart Stores, Inc. Associate; the dependent of a Walmart Stores, Inc. Associate; or the dependent of a Walmart Stores, Inc. Board of Directors member as of March 29, 2010.

Job profile:
- An excellent university degree in economics or political science.
- A strong background and interest in project-related research (e.g. development economics, international political economy, macroeconomics, international finance and law).
- Good knowledge of applied empirical methods. Skills in econometrics and statistical software such as Stata would be an asset.
- An excellent command of English; command of German would be an asset.
The position involves research at the intersection between economics and political science. You would become part of a motivated team of researchers working in an interdisciplinary environment with excellent resources and strong exposure to relevant international organizations (e.g. IMF, IADB, World Bank).
Contract duration and remuneration:
From early 2010 until end 2013. The positions is part-time (50%), remuneration is according to DFG guidelines.

AstroMundus Master Course in Astronomy
AstroMundus is a 2-years Erasmus Mundus Masters Course (120 ECTS) in Astronomy and Astrophysics offered by a consortium of 5 partner universities in 4 different countries: Austria, Italy, Germany, and Serbia.
Its main objective is to provide top-ranked students with an excellent background in Astrophysics, to introduce them to the world of modern astrophysical research, and foster their future career in this field. At the same time, in the spirit of the Erasmus Mundus programmes, we promote cultural exchanges between Third Country and European students and academics.
AstroMundus students carry out their master studies in at least 2 and up to four of these countries, in a stimulating and scientifically excellent international environment.
The official language of the course is English, but students are given the possibility to learn the languages of the host countries by attending language courses at the partner universities.
Successful students will be awarded a Joint Master Degree by all partner universities they have visited during the Master studies.
In addition they will obtain a Diploma Supplement to facilitate the recognition of their degree in other universities/countries.
At the end of each 2-years cycle of the Master Programme the best master thesis of the cycle will be awarded a prize.

This is a 4-year studentship starting from March 1st 2010. Each year the applicants will conduct research for a PhD for 75% of the time and demonstrate and mark undergraduate lab classes in biomechanics for 25% of the time. The preferred area for research is age related changes in gait with a specific focus on balance and coordination.
The successful applicants must have a good first degree (upper second or first) in field of Sport and Exercise Science or a related discipline including a strong grounding in biomechanics. Current final year undergraduates or master’s students are eligible to apply. The studentship is available to all European citizens.

Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program
The Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program seeks to encourage talented science, technology, engineering, and mathematics majors and professionals to become K-12 mathematics and science teachers. The Noyce Scholarship Track provides funds to institutions of higher education to support scholarships, stipends, and academic programs for undergraduate STEM majors and post-baccalaureate students holding STEM degrees who earn a teaching credential and commit to teaching in high- need K-12 school districts. The NSF Teaching Fellowship/Master Teaching Fellowship Track supports STEM professionals who enroll as NSF Teaching Fellows in master's degree programs leading to teacher certification by providing academic courses, professional development, and salary supplements while they are fulfilling a four-year teaching commitment in a high need school district. This track also supports the development of NSF Master Teaching Fellows by providing professional development and salary supplements for exemplary mathematics and science teachers to become Master Teachers in high need school districts.
Innovation through Institutional Integration (I3) projects enable faculty, administrators, and others in institutions to think and act strategically about the creative integration of NSF-funded awards, with particular emphasis on awards managed through programs in the Directorate for Education and Human Resources (EHR), but not limited to those awards. Nalanda-Sriwijaya Centre Fellowship Program 2010
The Nalanda-Sriwijaya Centre of the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (ISEAS) in Singapore, which pursues research on historical interactions among Asian societies and civilizations, is accepting applications from scholars who wish to undertake research and writing in the area of intra-Asian historical interactions during 2010. Preference will be given to scholars who have completed their Ph.D. degree within the last ten years. The fellowship will be for a period of up to six months and can be commenced any time between April and December 2010.

The fellowships include a monthly (all-inclusive) stipend of SGD $6,000, and a one-off payment of SGD $1500 to cover research costs. The Emerging Markets Scholarship 2010
The Emerging Markets Scholarship
As a long-term sponsor of business education, HRH Prince Michael of Kent has partnered with LSBF to create the Emerging Markets Scholarship. This specialised scholarship scheme recognises LSBF’s understanding of social–economic responsibility, by giving candidates from emerging markets the chance to study a degree in London with funding ranging from £1000 - £8000.
Applicants must demonstrate how they will contribute to the economic development of their emerging market should they be awarded this scholarship.

As a long-term sponsor of business education, HRH Prince Michael of Kent has partnered with LSBF to create the Emerging Markets Scholarship. This specialised scholarship scheme recognises LSBF’s understanding of social–economic responsibility, by giving candidates from emerging markets the chance to study a degree in London with funding ranging from £1000 - £8000.
Applicants must demonstrate how they will contribute to the economic development of their emerging market should they be awarded this scholarship.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Emerging Markets Scholarship applicants must meet the following criteria:

The 2010 Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship
Dr. Anita Borg devoted her adult life to revolutionizing the way we think about technology and dismantling barriers that keep women and minorities from entering computing and technology fields. Her combination of technical expertise and fearless vision continues to inspire and motivate countless women to become active participants and leaders in creating technology.
In her honor, Google is proud to honor Anita's memory and support women in technology with the 2010 Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship. Google hopes to encourage women to excel in computing and technology and become active role models and leaders in the field.
Google Anita Borg Scholarship recipients will each receive a $10,000 award for the 2010-2011 academic year. A group of female undergraduate and graduate students will be chosen from the applicant pool, and scholarships will be awarded based on the strength of each candidate's academic background and demonstrated leadership. All scholarship recipients and finalists will be invited to attend the Annual Google Scholars' Retreat in Mountain View, California in 2010.

In 1995 the Foundation established an annual programme of grants and scholarships for research, study and artistic endeavour within Greece. The programme is intended exclusively for non-Greeks: members of national academies, university professors at all levels holding a doctorate, post-doctorate researchers, post-graduate students and doctoral candidates, artists, and teachers, in both primary and secondary education, of Greek language, literature, history and culture.Programmes of Scholarships for ForeignersIn certain cases, the programme may accept second generation Greeks, and Greeks who permanently live abroad and have been studying or have been employed in foreign Universities for over 10 or 15 years, depending on the type of scholarship.

ICE WaRM offers a scholarship programme to attract high quality international students to education and training in water resources management, delivered by ICE WaRM partner institutions.
The ICE WaRM scholarship programme aims to:

Environmental Education Grants
The Grants Program sponsored by EPA's Environmental Education Division (EED), Office of Children's Health Protection and Environmental Education, supports environmental education projects that enhance the public's awareness, knowledge, and skills to help people make informed decisions that affect environmental quality. EPA awards grants each year based on funding appropriated by Congress. Annual funding for the program ranges between $2 and $3 million. Most grants will be in the $15,000 to $25,000 range.

HSBC Overseas Scholarship Scheme 2010/2011
To award full scholarships to non-final year undergraduate students for studying approved courses/programs at specified overseas universities in 2010/2011 academic year (Lists of the approved disciplines and overseas universities in Attachment A). To enable students to have more exposure in their fields of study, applicants will have the flexibility to major in a different discipline, other than the one the applicant is currently studying, while aboard. The majoring discipline, however, will have to be listed in the approved disciplines list by HSBC as below:
All disciplines under architecture, business and economics, communication, computer science/information systems, construction and land use, dentistry, design, education, engineering, health care, hotel and tourism, law, medicine, science (basic and applied), social sciences, textiles, and arts subjects (linguistics and languages, translation, history, geography, fine arts and applied arts) and environment.

Harry S. Truman Scholarships for college juniors
The Truman Scholarship provides up to $30,000 in funding to students pursuing graduate degrees in public service fields. Students must be college juniors at the time of selection. The Foundation also provides assistance with career counseling, internship placement, graduate school admissions, and professional development. KSTF believes that teaching and the preparation of outstanding teachers is a complex undertaking worthy of empirical study by the most creative and dedicated scholars. The KSTF Research Fellowships support early career scholars engaged in critical research relevant to the recruitment, preparation, induction, mentoring and retention of high quality mathematics and science teachers. The Research Fellowships anchor KSTF’s work in cutting-edge educational research. The program also helps ensure that the KSTF Teaching Fellowships benefit from the most current and best knowledge about teacher preparation and professional development.
KSTF Research Fellows are producing research relevant to KSTF’s mission and beyond, securing the foundation’s role as a key contributor to the knowledge base on science and mathematics teaching at the high school level.
The fellowship of $110,000 will be awarded in 2010. Typically, the award is $55,000 for two years. Usually up to three fellowships are awarded. KSTF expects that Fellows will not receive any other financial award to support the research project described in the Research Fellowship application during the 2-year fellowship tenure.
This is a non-residential fellowship. No part of the award may be used for overhead or indirect costs. HSP Huygens Programme
The prestigious HSP Huygens Programme is open to excellent students from all countries. It is aimed at talented students who want to come to the Netherlands in the final phase of their bachelor’s studies or during their master’s studies.
PhD applications can only be accepted from excellent students with the Chinese, Croatian or Turkish nationality. Furthermore, the minister has allocated part of the total budget for excellent students following programmes in Dutch language and literature, or Neerlandistiek.
Excellence
The Dutch Minister of Education, Culture and Science has allocated seven million euros for excellent students coming to the Netherlands under the HSP Huygens Programme. There is no fixed number of available scholarships. The actual number is determined by the total cost of the variable components of the scholarships.
New application round
The HSP Huygens application round for the 2010-2011 academic year will start on 1 November 2009.
Important: the complete application, both digital and on paper, must be received by Nuffic no later than 1 February 2010. Applications that have not been submitted both digitally and on paper or that are incomplete will not be accepted.
The Netherlands Fellowship Programmes
The Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP) are demand-driven fellowship programmes designed to promote capacity building within organizations in 61 developing countries by providing training and education to their mid-career staff members.
Half of the available fellowships should be awarded to female candidates and the other half should be spent on candidates from sub-Saharan Africa. Apart from this, priority is given to candidates from priority groups and/or from marginalized regions to be defined by the embassies.
The NFP is funded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the development cooperation budget.
Employer support
The need for education and training must be linked to the institutional development of the organization the applicants are working for. This means that applicants must be nominated by their employers. In fact, applications without the support of an employer will not be considered.
NFP sub-programmes
NFP master’s, NFP short courses and NFP PhD studies award fellowships to individuals. NFP also finances refresher courses for NFP alumni who would like to prolong the effect of earlier learning and update their knowledge and skills.
The fellowship
An NFP fellowship is intended to supplement the salary that the fellowship holder should continue to receive (at least partially) during the study period. The allowance is considered to be a contribution towards the cost of living for one person, whether in the Netherlands or in another country. The fellowship can also cover the costs of tuition fees, visas, travel costs, insurance and thesis research.
How to apply?
If you want to apply for PhD studies, master’s degree programmes or short courses you must first gain academic admission to the course of your choice before applying for a fellowship through the Netherlands embassy or consulate in your country. Also, you can only apply for an NFP fellowship if the course is on the NFP course list for that particular year.
In all cases, you are advised to contact the Netherlands Embassy, Consulate or local Nuffic Neso office well in advance for specific instructions, and to inquire about specific local procedures and deadlines, requirements and selection criteria. These may differ from the general information provided on Nuffic’s website or in the brochures.

International Graduate Program for Advanced Science (IGPAS) is an interdisciplinary graduate program in the Graduate School of Science, Tohoku University. It was established in October 2004 as the first international graduate program founded in Japanese national universities. ASEAN Graduate Scholarship
Who is eligible?
This scholarship is open to nationals of member countries of ASEAN* (except Singapore) to pursue a designated full-time Masters degree by coursework and dissertation at NTU.
* ASEAN or the Association of Southeast Asian Nations consists of Brunei Darrussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Eligibility criteria
- Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents are not eligible to apply
- Excellent academic record
- A very good command of the English language
- At least 2 years of working experience
- An acceptable score in the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) – for applicants of the MBA programme
- You should not be on paid employment or accept paid employment or concurrently hold any other scholarship, fellowship, bursary or top-up allowance during the prescribed period of the award
Bond
There is no bond attached to the scholarship. No deferment of scholarship awarded will be allowed. Awards that are not taken up will be given to other qualified candidates.
Coverage
Each scholarship is tenable for a period of 1 year only for M.Sc. and M.Mass Communication programmes and 4 trimesters (≈ 16 months) only for the MBA programme.
Each scholarship shall cover the following:
- Monthly stipend of S$1,350.00
- Book allowance of S$500.00
- Tuition fee, health insurance, examination fee and other approved fees, allowances and expenses
- Cost of one overseas Business Study Mission (for MBA candidates only) undertaken within the tenable period of the scholarship

New England Regional Fellowship Consortium

Each grant will provide a stipend of $5,000 for a minimum of eight
weeks of research at participating institutions. Awards are open to
U.S. citizens and foreign nationals who hold the necessary U.S.
government documents. Grants are designed to encourage projects that
draw on the resources of several agencies. Each award will be for
research at a minimum of three different member institutions. Fellows
must work at each of them for at least two weeks. NERFC expects
fellows to visit all the repositories they list in their proposals.
