The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Arizona State University
Announces its new PhD program in East Asian Languages and Civilizations
(EALC). It is a research-intensive, inter-disciplinary, area-based degree in
the study of the traditional and modern languages and cultures of China.
Students may focus on iterature, literary criticism, comparative cultural
studies, cultural history, or linguistics.
Applications for the 2010-2011 year, to be considered for financial aid
including Teaching or Research Assistantship, close on December 15, 2009.
For all others, the deadline is April 15, 2010. Students will be notified by
the end of February admission. A number of Research and Teaching
Assistantships are available. Application procedures and forms may be found
