The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship honors excellence by supporting outstanding community college students with financial need to transfer to and complete their bachelor’s degrees at the nation’s top four-year colleges and universities.

We’re looking everywhere for the finest students in America
Through our annual Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship Program, we provide scholarships worth up to $30,000 per year to community college students & recent alumni to help them earn a four-year degree.
Selection & Eligibility
The Foundation’s Undergraduate Transfer Scholarships are awarded to the nation’s top two-year or community college students who have financial need. The selection process for these awards is rigorous and highly competitive, with approximately 60 scholarships awarded each year out of hundreds of nominees.
MINIMUM ELIGiBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Be a current student at an accredited US community college or two-year institution with sophomore status by December 31, 2012, or a recent graduate (since spring 2008).
Plan to enroll full-time in a baccalaureate program at an accredited college or university in fall 2013.
Have a cumulative undergraduate grade-point average of 3.50 or better on a scale of 4.0 (or the equivalent).
Be nominated by the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Faculty Representative at his or her two-year institution.
Have significant unmet financial need.
Have not previously been nominated for the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship.
While the Foundation considers academic excellence first in evaluating candidates, competitive applicants must also demonstrate unmet financial need, which has two components:
Education costs that are appreciably greater than the total amount of other scholarships or grant awards.
Insufficient student and family income to meet educational costs.
