NGO-Pro Grants 2010

The grant provides funding for a photographer to collaborate with an NGO in developing imagery that furthers the strategic communication objectives and mission of a nonprofit organization.


The NGO-PRO grant is an annual award of up to $15000 for a specific assignment between the working photographer and the established but under funded NGO.

The 2010 Grant will be open for applications between 1st Spetember2010 and 1st November 2010. The judges will announce the winner no later than 15th December 2010.

Eligibility

  • Individual photographers who are presently engaged in the business of creating and selling or licensing imagery.
  • Photographers can be from any country or region, although the submission must be made in English.
  • The application must be submitted by the photographer. Non-profit organizations may initiate a grant project, but the application must be submitted by the photographer with whom they wish to work.
  • A photographer may submit only one application per year.
  • Each submission may contain only one project proposal.
  • Applications will not be automatically carried forward from one year to the next. However, an applicant may re-submit a project that was not awarded a grant in a previous year.
  • Ideally the photographer should be a member of the International Guild of Visual Peacemakers.

The online application form for the 2010 NGO-Pro grant will automatically become available to registered users at 00:00 hours on 01 September 2010 and applications can be made up until 23:59 hours on 31 October 2010 (all times are Pacific Standard Time – GMT-8).
