The mission of the Division of Industrial Innovation and Partnerships
The Division of Industrial Innovation and Partnerships (IIP) houses five research partnerships:
1) Small Business Innovation Research
2) Small Business Technology Transfer
3) Grant Opportunities for Academic Liaison with Industry
4) Industry/ University Cooperative Research Center
5) Partnerships for Innovation
The focus of IIP is to successfully invest in engineering research and innovation by leveraging federal, small business, industrial, university, state and community college resources. Partnerships require a vision, performance goals and benchmarks, passionate and visionary leaders, and partners bound by an essential interdependency and shared commitment.

Students may be non-competitively converted to a career or career-conditional appointment after graduation, providing they have worked at least 640 hours under the program, and meet all academic and position qualification requirements.
Students are eligible for all civil service benefits(health, dental, tsp, etc.)
Eligible students must be enrolled at least half-time in an accredited academic institution and maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher.
Students can be hired into SCEP positions at any time during the year.
