Every year since 1994, Nordstrom has awarded college scholarships of $10,000 to hardworking high-school students with dreams of a higher education. Paid out in equal installments of $2,500 over four years to the college of their choice, Nordstrom Scholarships give bright, deserving kids the help they need to achieve their goals.
Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic achievement, awards/honors, leadership, school activities, community/volunteer activities, financial and employment history. Awards are granted without regard to race, creed, color, religion, gender, or national origin.

Awards are for undergraduate study. The application form must be completed and submitted online by 5:00 p.m., central time, *May 16, 2011*.
If you become a semifinalist, the recommender you list in your application will be sent an email on June 1 with instructions for completing the online recommendation. The deadline for submission of the online recommendation is 5:00 p.m., central time, June 10, 2011.

*ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA*
To be eligible, you must:
1. Be a high school junior
2. Live and attend high school in one of the participating states designated by Nordstrom
3. Have participated in community or volunteer activities
4. Have and maintain a cumulative unweighted GPA of at least 2.7 (on a 4.0 scale) throughout your high school career
5. Plan to apply for financial assistance to attend college
6. Be eligible to attend a four-year college or university in the United States
7. If awarded, attend an accredited four-year college or university in the United States during all years of the scholarship
8. Not have been convicted of any crime.
