Chevening is the UK Government's flagship scholarship scheme, aimed at future leaders, high achievers, opinion formers and decision-makers. The programme is funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), represented by the British Embassy in Bangkok and administered worldwide by the British Council. It supports over 2,300 international students annually to study in the UK.
The aim of the British Chevening Scholarship Programme in Thailand is to provide financial assistance and opportunity to deserving Thai students and professionals who wish to further their study for a Master’s Degrees in the UK. The objective is to encourage young high-achievers and dynamic Thai students and professionals to study in the UK, and then return to Thailand to contribute to ongoing and future work in the relevant discipline.
We regret to inform you that British Chevening Scholarships are no longer open to the public. Applications can only be received from applicants nominated by organisations invited to do so by the British Embassy.
Competition for Chevening scholarships is intense, and only one in every 25 applicants is successful. A typical successful applicant would be:

4. Have a clear idea how their scholarship will benefit their country on their return.

Applicants are required to submit the following documents:
- an application form with one recent passport size photograph (without a hat and with a white background)
