The Centre for Particle Physics Phenomenology (CP3-Origins) and the Department of Physics and Chemistry at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense invite applications for two PhD scholarships. We expect the two positions to be filled in the area of strongly interacting theories beyond the Standard Model, collider phenomenology, astroparticle physics, cosmology and lattice field theory.
We are looking for outstanding young and competitive candidates with a clear potential to excel in particle physics.
The Centre for Particle Physics Phenomenology (CP3-Origins) at the department of Physics and Chemistry at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense is a centre of excellence recently established by the Danish National Research Foundation, dedicated to the understanding of the origins of bright and dark matter in the universe. We are among the world leaders in studies of dynamical electroweak symmetry breaking, its phenomenological consequences and the phase diagram of gauge theories.
CP3-Origins offers an extremely dynamical and exciting working environment. We have close collaborations with leading scientists in Europe and the US and the centre is one of the cornerstones of our physics research.
The appointments will be for a term of three or four years at very competitive salary and are expected to start in May 2011. Please read more on the website.
For any further questions please contact Professor Francesco Sannino (sannino@cp3.sdu.dk) or As-sistant Professor Claudio Pica (pica@cp3.sdu.dk) at CP3-Origins, University of Southern Denmark.
